The well-known face of show business, Honored Artist Ruhangiz Allahverdiyeva, made noteworthy remarks regarding young people preparing to start a family. The famous artist spoke about the traditions of matchmaking and the methods of testing prospective brides during her guest appearance on the program "Qonaqcanlı."
According to Medianews.az, during the interview, the performer focused particularly on the role of women in times of financial hardship and revealed specific questions she asks girls during the matchmaking process. She emphasized that she always explains the ups and downs of life to her children:
"I always instruct my children that the woman you choose must be ready for your difficult days as well. Because today you might have financial means, but tomorrow everything can change. When I go matchmaking with my relatives, I ask the girls a question: if there is only one chicken at home and you have no money, what would you do? Some immediately answer, 'I don't care, let him go and earn.' I tell a girl who gives such an answer that she cannot be a lady of the family."
The honored artist explained the requirement that a true lady of the family should be economical and practical by her own example. The artist stated that a skillful woman should be able to feed the family for days with a limited amount of food: "For example, I would cook two wings of that single chicken one day and serve them alongside something; on another day, I would prepare the legs with potatoes and somehow keep the family going for five days. A girl who does not think like this and does not show sacrifice will not make a good life partner."
