In Jalilabad, a woman quarreled with her mother over communal debt.
Medianews.az, citing Lent.az, reports that the incident occurred in one of the private houses on M. Huseyn Street in the city.
37-year-old Naile Khalefova (name and surname are pseudonyms) and her mother had a dispute over a gas debt. During the argument, Naile grabbed her mother with both hands and tore her mother's ears.
Following the victim's complaint to the police, Naile was detained and a criminal case was opened against her. The accused stated that she had been separated from her husband for 13 years and lives with her mother in a rented apartment in Jalilabad city along with her two minor children.
In her statement, the victim mother said that she had reconciled with her daughter, had no complaint or demand against her, and requested that her daughter not be penalized.
By court decision, Naile Khalefova was sentenced to 6 months of corrective labor with 10 percent of her monthly income withheld for the state treasury.
