Last night, in the Azov Sea, 2 ships carrying 25 Azerbaijanis were hit, and as a result of the incident, 5 Azerbaijani citizens died.
It is reported that the relatives of the deceased spoke.
One of those who passed away is 50-year-old Rəcəb Əhədov, a resident of the Neftchala district. The father of the deceased sailor, Firudin Əhədov, recalls his last conversation with his son as follows:
“When I last spoke to my son, he said everything was fine and told me not to worry. He said they were waiting for cargo. He promised to inform me when they set off. That was our last conversation. Today, after 10 o’clock, we received this bitter news.”
One of those who died on the ship is 29-year-old Məhəmməd Əliyev, a resident of Aşağı Tala village in the Zaqatala district.
The brother of the deceased Məhəmməd Əliyev, Elvin Əliyev, gave a statement about the incident.
“My brother had been working in this field for more than 5 years. He was an assistant captain himself. This morning I learned that he had passed away. A friend of his who works on another ship called and conveyed this tragic news to me. They said the body would be brought in two days. Now I am also waiting for his return as a brother. He was married and had one child,” he said.
