By 1992, 1,287.6 thousand, by 1993, 1,118 thousand, by 1994, 1,250.9 thousand, by 1995, 1,282.9 thousand, by 1996, 1,226.8 thousand, by 1997, 1,245.3 thousand, by 1998, 1,206.4 thousand, by 1999, 1,176.5 thousand, and by 2000, 1,202.1 thousand pensioners were officially registered.
By 2001, 1,218.6 thousand, 2002, 1,245 thousand, 2003, 1,285 thousand, 2004, 1,326.8 thousand, 2005, 1,372.6 thousand, 2006, 1,398.8 thousand, 2007, 1,226.7 thousand, 2008, 1,248.6 thousand, 2009, 1,275.1 thousand, and by 2010, 1,308.4 thousand people received pensions.
By 2011, 1,292.1 thousand, 2012, 1,277.5 thousand, 2013, 1,272.1 thousand, 2014, 1,277 thousand, 2015, 1,290.8 thousand, 2016, 1,299.9 thousand, 2017, 1,315.2 thousand, 2018, 1,318.4 thousand, 2019, 1,295.4 thousand, 2020, 1,270.5 thousand, 2021, 1,228.8 thousand, 2022, 1,200.4 thousand, 2023, 1,114.2 thousand, 2024, 1,095.9 thousand, and 2025, 1,098.3 thousand pensioners were reported.
In Azerbaijan, men retire at the age of 65, while women retire at the age of 64 and a half. From July 1, 2026, the retirement age for women will also increase to 65. The minimum amount of labor pension is 320 manats.
