On June 3, the barrel of Azerbaijani oil branded "AzeriLight" is sold for $101.68. Medianews.az reports that this price is nearly $37 higher than what was planned in the state budget.
In Azerbaijan's 2026 budget, a barrel of oil is taken at $65. "AzeriLight" started January at $65.71, February at $69.72, March at $79.60, April at $132.35, May at $122.26, and June at $104.58.
Oil prices rose amid escalating tensions between the USA and Israel and Iran since February 28.
The exporters' international coalition has set the daily crude oil production quota for Azerbaijan at 551 thousand barrels.
