"The year 2026 is the final year of the 'First State Program on the Great Return.' Most of the projects that were previously initiated are expected to be completed within this year. As in other liberated territories, restoration, repair, and construction works are planned to be completed in the Agdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, including the city of Agdam, two villages in Agdam, two villages in Fuzuli, as well as in several settlements of Khojavend district."
Medianews.az reports that these words were said to AZERTAC by Emin Huseynov, the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Agdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts.
He stated that by the end of the year, with the commissioning of the fourth and fifth residential complexes in Agdam city, the relocation of approximately 10,000 people is planned to be ensured. At the same time, construction continues in the villages of Dovlyatyarly and Pirahmedli in Fuzuli district, and Eyvazkhanbeyli and Bash Garvend villages in Agdam district. In Khojavend district, restoration works are being carried out in one city, two settlements, and 14 villages, and by the end of the year, the population of the district is planned to reach 12,000 people.
"All these processes are being implemented in accordance with the 'First State Program on the Great Return.' Currently, the Second State Program is being prepared, within the framework of which restoration works in the city of Agdam, other villages of the district, and also in Fuzuli district are planned to continue. In the next phase, an additional 30-40 thousand people are expected to be relocated to Agdam district, and another 10 thousand people to Fuzuli district. Since most of the main infrastructure projects have already been completed, the construction of social infrastructure and the relocation process will be carried out more rapidly from now on," emphasized E. Huseynov.
