Here, illegal fertilization procedures are carried out REVEALED

The Ministry of Health has conducted an inspection at "Caspian International Hospital" Limited Liability Company (LLC).

According to Plat.az, during the inspection carried out by the Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan at "Caspian International Hospital," a protocol was drawn up under Articles 215.1, 221.1, and 221.10 of the Administrative Offenses Code, and the case was sent to court.

From the court materials, it became known that during the unscheduled inspection carried out by the Analytical Expertise Center, it was determined that extracorporeal fertilization (ECF) procedures were being performed in the clinic under gynecology activities not foreseen by the license, and that there were medicines present which had not been state-registered, were expired, and were not stored according to proper conditions.

During the inspection, it was also found that the medical equipment and devices did not meet normative-technical requirements, that the institution was carrying out types of medical activities not indicated in the license, and that medicines which had not been state-registered, were expired, stored without adherence to storage conditions, and partially unpackaged were kept. The identified facts were documented with photographs and added to the report.

The inspection was conducted with the participation of the institution's director, Jabrayil Abbasov. In his explanation, he stated that after the warning, procedures related to infertility treatment were stopped at the institution. According to him, the detected embryos were leftover embryos from patients previously treated.

In the expert opinion of the Analytical Expertise Center included in the case materials, it was noted that the facts identified during the inspection indicate that proper medical documentation concerning assistance reproductive technologies was not duly presented at the institution, and that the information given about the cessation of activity was not consistent with the documents and embryos found in the laboratory.

By the court's decision, "Caspian International Hospital" LLC was found guilty of committing administrative offenses under Articles 215.1, 221.1, and 221.10 of the Administrative Offenses Code and was fined 6,000 manat.//Qaynarinfo
