On June 4, the price of a barrel of Azerbaijani oil branded "AzeriLight" rose to $104.40.
Medianews.az reports that this is nearly $40 above what was projected in the state budget.
In Azerbaijan's 2026 budget, one barrel of oil is estimated at $65. "AzeriLight" started January at $65.71, February at $69.72, March at $79.60, April at $132.35, May at $122.26, and June at $104.58.
Oil prices have risen since February 28 amid rising tensions between the US and Israel with Iran.
