Although the change in the salary system in the civil service within the framework of new legislative acts is of a technical nature, it is generally evaluated with positive effects. The new model facilitates the formation of salaries in a more transparent and clear way, simplifies calculations, and expands comparison opportunities.
Medianews.az reports that economist Khalid Karimli said these words in an interview with Axar.az when talking about the changes made in the wage system in the civil service.
He stated that in the previous system, salaries were formed based on various supplements – working conditions, seniority, and other factors:
"In the new approach, however, these supplements are simplified and placed into a single scheme that is clearer, comparable, and easier to calculate. From this perspective, the change is evaluated positively.
According to K. Karimli, the stabilization of salaries can also have a positive effect on the pension system:
"As a result of salary stabilization, inflows to the pension fund are expected to be more stable and probably higher. This can be considered a significant positive effect both for the system itself and in terms of future pension provision."
