As of February 1, 2026, nearly 30 billion manats in loans and more than 16.6 billion manats in deposits have been registered in Azerbaijan, with 22.7 billion manats in loans and 14.6 billion manats in deposits attributed to the capital city Baku.
Medianews.az, citing the Central Bank which released the report, states that the total assets of 22 banks exceeded 56.9 billion manats, and total liabilities exceeded 49.5 billion manats.
According to the statistical bulletin, 557.5 million manats in non-performing (overdue) loans have been registered in the country. The year 2026 had started with 524.5 million manats.
