A high-ranking official who served for many years at the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been dismissed from his position. This personnel change within the structure of the institution has attracted the attention of the media and the public.
Medianews.az, citing NOCOMMENT.az, reports that Rafael Sohbat oghlu Suleymanov, head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the State Statistics Committee's apparatus, has been dismissed. The order for his dismissal was signed by the Chairman of the Committee, Azer Mursagulov.
In an official statement to NOCOMMENT.az regarding the matter, the Committee confirmed the news and stated that Rafael Suleymanov was sent into retirement due to his age. However, according to information obtained, R. Suleymanov has not yet reached retirement age.
It should be noted that Rafael Suleymanov worked in various responsible positions within the mentioned state institution for a total of 48 years and coordinated the committee’s relations with the media for a long period.
