A briefing on WUF 13 has been held for foreign diplomats

A briefing was held with the working groups of the representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan and high-level guests regarding the preparatory works and the program of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), to be held in Baku.

The briefing organized at the Baku Olympic Stadium, the venue of WUF13, was attended by about 150 foreign guests in total, including heads of diplomatic missions operating in Azerbaijan as well as officials from foreign countries.

At the briefing, the program of the event was presented to the diplomats participating, and information was provided about the protocol procedures concerning security, reception, and transportation issues intended for state and government delegations visiting Baku. In addition, information was given about the accreditation procedures for press services and media representatives accompanying the official delegations, as well as the rules of participation in official events.

At the same time, diplomats were informed about the operational plan of Heydar Aliyev International Airport during the event, the organization of intra-city transportation, and the main official events.

It was reported that to date, more than 40,000 people from 182 countries have registered, which is already a record number in the history of the World Urban Forum.

Representatives of the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operating Company stated that the Baku Olympic Stadium, the venue for the event, is fully ready for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) taking place from May 17 to 22. At the same time, confidence was expressed that WUF13 will be another successful event organized with the hosting of Azerbaijan.

After the event, a venue tour was organized for the briefing participants. During the inspection, information was provided about special zones allocated for high-level guests and delegations, reception of state and government representatives, bilateral meetings, rest areas, and catering services.
