SpaceX's satellite internet service Starlink has signed a new contract with American Airlines, one of the largest airlines in the US.
Medianews.az reports that according to the agreement, high-speed satellite internet will be installed on more than 500 aircraft belonging to the company.
The system will be introduced gradually starting from 2027 and will primarily be used on domestic and short international flights.
The company states that thanks to Starlink's low-earth orbit satellites, passengers will be able to use faster and more stable internet during flights.
Thus, American Airlines joins major airlines such as United, Southwest, and Alaska, which already use Starlink. /Lent.az
