In the UK, a 14-month-old baby died due to the negligence of a young caregiver.
Medianews.az reports that the incident occurred in December 2022 in the city of Dudley.
The 20-year-old caregiver wrapped the baby tightly in a sleeping bag while putting him to sleep and covered his head with a blanket. The child could not breathe freely and died by suffocation. The incident was recorded by video surveillance cameras. The woman admitted to being guilty of causing death by negligence and was brought to court.
Judges described her behavior as “clear negligence.” The kindergarten director also did not deny his guilt in violating labor protection and safety requirements.
The court case is ongoing.
