The Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, has vowed to avenge the death of his father, Ali Khamenei, as well as other Iranians who fell victim to the US and Israel's military operations against the Islamic Republic.
This was reported by the "Fars" agency.
In a statement on the occasion of his father's funeral, Khamenei said:
"We will punish the criminal and disgraced murderers and swear to avenge the blood of all the martyrs of these two wars. This revenge is the will of our people and must be fulfilled."
Ayatollah described the revenge as a demand of the Iranian people and emphasized that it must be carried out.
Ali Khamenei died on February 28 as a result of a US-Israeli special operation. According to the Fars news agency, the Supreme Leader died during the operation at his residence. His son, Mojtaba Khamenei, has taken his place. //Baki-vaxti.az
