It should be noted that although the Peace Council was initially proposed as part of a 20-point peace plan prepared by the US to end the Israel-Palestine conflict and ensure reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, the charter does not mention the Gaza Strip. Instead, it contains views reflecting the role the UN has played for decades in assisting the resolution of conflicts worldwide.
Some experts also call the Peace Council "Donald Trump's UN."
During the signing ceremony of the Peace Council’s charter in Davos, Trump stated that the UN has great potential but does not utilize it.
According to the US President, he did not discuss any of the eight wars he concluded with the UN. Donald Trump added that the UN has not made sufficient effort and has failed to end those wars.
Medianews.az notes that the logo of the Peace Council resembles the UN logo. The difference is that the UN logo depicts all continents, whereas the Peace Council’s logo features North and Central America along with some regions of South America.
The chairman of the Peace Council is US President Donald Trump. His chairmanship is explicitly stated in the council’s charter. It is also noted that Donald Trump is the first US representative in this council.
