29 people died as a result of the crash of the An-26 military transport aircraft.
Medianews.az reports that this was stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"The search and rescue team found the site where the An-26 aircraft crashed. According to the report from the scene, 6 crew members and 23 passengers on board died," the statement emphasized.
It is noted that the aircraft collided with a cliff.
Currently, a special commission from the Russian Ministry of Defense is working at the scene. The preliminary cause of the crash is being considered to be the technical malfunction of the aircraft./axar.az
