Illegally interfering with vehicles 196 drivers were detained

Recently, cases have been observed where some drivers illegally interfere with the construction of vehicles by installing additional lighting devices, changing lighting systems, and using lighting equipment that does not meet regulatory requirements.

Medianews.az reports that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has released information on this matter.

It is stated that the illegal installation of additional lighting devices on vehicles or interference with existing lighting systems negatively affects the visibility of oncoming drivers, causes their distraction, and increases the risk of serious traffic accidents.

Through control and preventive measures conducted by the Sumgayit City Police Department's State Road Police Division, drivers who violate the mentioned regulations are identified and administrative protocols are drawn up against them in accordance with the requirements of the legislation. At the same time, drivers who share such illegal actions on social networks are also identified and held administratively responsible. As a result of measures carried out in Sumgayit city this year in this direction, administrative protocols have been issued against 196 such drivers. Drivers are once again required to strictly comply with the established requirements for the use of lighting devices on vehicles to ensure road traffic safety. Preventive and control measures in this regard will continue.
