Azerbaijan is a valuable and reliable energy partner for the European Union. There is clear potential to deepen our cooperation, especially in the fields of trade, transport, and digital technologies.
Medianews.az, referring to Xezerxeber.az, reports that this opinion was expressed by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Kaya Kallas.
Kaya Kallas, who stated that strengthening ties between the EU, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia aligns with shared strategic interests, also spoke about the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia: “Progress in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a historic opportunity and it is important to maintain this dynamic. The EU has a number of instruments to support this, ranging from confidence-building measures to demining activities, and in these areas we are already the largest donor.”
