In the USA, a new trend called "sleepcation" is rapidly spreading, especially among Generation Z and the Millennium generation.
According to Medianews.az, people go to hotels to get away from work stress and mainly prioritize sleeping and resting.
According to information, some hotels offer special "sleep packages" tailored to this trend. The packages include relaxing products, special pillows, aromatherapy tools, and other relaxation services.
One of those who experienced this is 35-year-old travel writer Kaitlyn Rosati. She stated that on her last trip she went to the hotel just to sleep, slept 16 hours on the first night, and that the experience had a very positive effect on her.
Experts note that this trend is a temporary solution to problems in balancing work and personal life. Joyce Adesina, a sleep expert at the University of Southern California, says that for long-term health, consistent and regular sleep is more important.
Nevertheless, for many people, a sleepcation is considered a rare opportunity to get away from daily stress and fully rest. Some users evaluate this experience as a "renewal."
On the other hand, not everyone agrees with this trend. Some people believe that spending vacation time sleeping is a "waste of time" and that rest should be more active.
According to experts, sleepcations are currently creating a new niche market in the tourism sector and becoming an additional source of income for hotels.
A niche market is a narrow, specialized segment defined by the specific needs, advantages, or characteristics of a broader market.
