Experts warn that blue light emitted from devices such as phones, computers, and televisions can disrupt sleep rhythm and harm eye health.
Medianews.az reports that specialist in eye diseases Prof. Dr. Osman Şevki Arslan spoke on this matter.
He states that prolonged exposure to blue light negatively affects both vision and the musculoskeletal system.
This light disrupts the circadian rhythm, lowering sleep quality, weakening mood and energy levels.
The expert recommends staying away from digital screens 3–4 hours before sleep. For children, screen time should be strictly limited: complete prohibition for ages 0–2, and 40 minutes to 1 hour per day for ages 2–5.
The specialist also emphasizes the importance of using screens at the correct distance and time. Long-term and incorrect use is risky for both eyes and overall health.
