In Russia, an 8th-grade student at a gymnasium died after falling from the fourth floor during class.
Medianews.az reports that the incident occurred on April 22 in the city of Kaliningrad.
Shortly before the tragedy, the girl asked the teacher for permission to go to the restroom and left the classroom. Resuscitation efforts were performed at the scene for more than half an hour, after which the girl was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Despite all the doctors' efforts, it was not possible to save her life.
The Ministry of Education of Kaliningrad Region has expressed condolences to the family. Law enforcement agencies are working with the girl's parents, and all circumstances are being investigated. The school administration has been instructed to conduct an internal audit, assistance will be provided to the family, and a psychologist will work with the students.
The incident has caused a significant public outcry, and investigations are ongoing.
