UEFA's Disciplinary Committee has imposed a sanction on Portuguese club Benfica's Argentine midfielder Janluca Prestiani.
According to Milli.Az, based on the decision of the Authority, the footballer will not be able to participate in the Champions League playoff match against Real.
The European football organization stated that the midfielder was disqualified for one game due to violating disciplinary rules related to discrimination. It was also emphasized that the ongoing investigation continues and the final decision will not depend on this punishment.
Recall that in the first match held in Portugal, the Madrid representative secured a narrow victory - 1:0. It was alleged that Vinicius, who scored the only goal, was subjected to racist remarks during the match. Reports in the Spanish media stated that the insult was made by Prestiani.
The return match between the sides will take place in Madrid on February 25.
