Two Azerbaijani citizens suspected of illegal drug trafficking have been detained in the city of Batumi, Georgia.
This was reported by the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
According to the information, A. A., born in 1995, and S. Z., born in 1994, were previously arrested on charges of illegal acquisition and possession of narcotic substances.
A search was conducted at the defendants' temporary residence, and a large quantity of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances prepared for sale was discovered.
Additionally, law enforcement agencies found various materials used for packaging and distributing drugs.
An investigation is underway under Article 260 and Part 3 "A" of Article 261 of the Criminal Code of Georgia related to this case. These articles provide for a penalty of up to 20 years or life imprisonment. / "Report"
