"We hid her death from my daughter for 3 days, then I thought she would encounter it somewhere. It is better for her to hear it from us."
Milli.Az reports that these words were spoken by the late People's Artist Yaşar Nuri's daughter Ülkər Yaşarqızı on "Elgizlə izlə". Ülkər talked about the passing of her sister Ülviyyə:
"My mother told my sister's daughter, the child did not recover from shock for two days, we explained to her that she is very strong, a smart girl. I struggled a lot to provide something to her, she said, 'Aunt, you don't understand, these cannot replace my mother's love, just give me my mother's sweater.' We bought a doll and dressed her in it. That night, my sister herself called and said, 'Let mom come.' Then Gülnar called and said, 'Aunt, I woke up to the sound of mom falling, I turned on the camera, I saw that she was lying on the floor.' I told my sister's daughter to call the neighbor, who is also a doctor, she came and administered heart massage. When she spoke to me, she said her blood pressure was 100 over 70, but they measured it and it had dropped to 40 over 25. Ülviyyə was very emotional, she was attached to her family."
Ülkər also spoke about the separation between her sister and her husband:
"My sister loved him very much, the child also loves her father. This was a problem between Ülviyyə and her husband. He is also very regretful, he says, 'I wish it had not happened like this.' My sister did not ask him for alimony. She was a completely different kind of girl, there was a big difference between her and me. My sister passed away on the 15th, the 22nd is my father's death anniversary, the same difference is between those dates and birthdays."
