Medianews.az reports that the Russian fighter, known by the nickname "Shara Bullet," shared his thoughts about the upcoming match and invited fans to the arena.
He said that he is fully prepared for the fight and will reach ideal form by June 27: "Nothing can prevent me from securing a brilliant victory in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani audience is like home to me. People in Azerbaijan and throughout the Caucasus will support me. I am the pirate of the Caspian Sea. I invite everyone who supports me to the arena. We will win the victory together."
The fighter noted that when the UFC tournament was first announced to be held in Azerbaijan, he had the desire to fight in Baku: "Last year, when it became known that the UFC tournament would be held in Azerbaijan, I immediately contacted my manager and expressed that I wanted to fight in Baku. But at that time it was not possible. I am glad that this time it became possible. Most athletes who will fight in Baku prefer stand-up fighting. Rafael Fiziev will be fighting in the main fight. So, the fans are expecting a real show."
Shara Bullet also mentioned that he has close relationships with Azerbaijani athletes. According to him, he has been friends with Azerbaijani MMA fighter Alovsat Mamedov for many years and they have trained together.
"I have many connections with Azerbaijanis in sports. This is the beauty of sports. Because sports unite people," the fighter said.
