An important change is expected soon regarding "Pascorbin 7.5 g/50 ml," one of the high-dose vitamin C preparations widely used in Azerbaijan.

Medianews.az, quoting Publika.az, reports that the registration of "Pascorbin" in the country expires on 21.05.2026, so a new registration (renewal) process is underway and currently ongoing. Because of this, the import of new batches of the preparation will be temporarily impossible in the near future.

According to specialists, against the background of gradually decreasing existing stocks, it is expected that this preparation will not be available for sale in pharmacies starting from June 2026. It is predicted that the re-release of the preparation on the market will occur approximately in October 2026.

In which cases is "Pascorbin 7.5 g/50ml" used?

According to specialists, high-dose vitamin C preparations are used only under medical supervision in the following cases:

- As support in oncology patients (both patients receiving and not receiving chemotherapy);

- In individuals with immune deficiency;

- In infectious and viral diseases, as supportive treatment;

- In tuberculosis patients, alongside the main treatment protocol for supportive purposes;

- During the recovery and rehabilitation period

During the COVID-19 pandemic period, high-dose vitamin C preparations were used in many countries and clinical practice within the framework of supportive treatment approaches.

Many patients became more familiar with this preparation from that period onwards and associated it with immune support. This has led to increased interest in the preparation and expansion of its usage.

Specialists emphasize that the time factor plays an important role for those planning such treatments.

If treatment with high-dose vitamin C is planned, it is more appropriate not to delay it and to plan in advance.
