Since 2020, the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has placed 836 children for adoption. Among them, 422 are boys, and 414 are girls.
Medianews.az reports that the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has provided this information.
It is stated that to study the conditions of the families to which the children are adopted, monitoring is carried out quarterly during the first year of adoption and once a year thereafter until the children reach 18 years old.
As a result of reintegration measures by the Agency, which started its activities in mid-2020, during the past period, 854 children, including 467 boys and 387 girls, were returned from state children's institutions to their families. Additionally, the placement of 856 children in institutions by their families was prevented, ensuring that these children were kept with their own families.
