Between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Serbia There has been a meeting.

On July 28, the next round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia was held in the city of Belgrade.

This was reported to Medianews.az by the Azerbaijani MFA.

It was noted that the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev, and the Serbian delegation was headed by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Damyan Jovic.

During the meeting, strengthening strategic partnership between the two countries, the current situation and development prospects of cooperation in political, economic, energy, and humanitarian areas were discussed. The parties also exchanged views on mutual cooperation on international platforms, further development of cooperation within various international organizations, as well as work to be done to expand the treaty and legal framework between the two countries.

Within the framework of the political consultations, detailed information was provided about Azerbaijan’s steps to promote sustainable peace and cooperation in the region, humanitarian challenges caused by the threat of mines in liberated territories, and large-scale restoration and reconstruction projects being implemented in those areas.

During the visit, F. Rzayev also held meetings with Advisor to the President of the Republic of Serbia, Tatyana Jovic, and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Marina Ragus, as well as participated in roundtable discussions organized with researchers and experts at the Serbian Institute for International Politics and Economic Studies.
