In the brotherly Republic of Turkey, at the "Anatolian Phoenix - 2026" international search and rescue exercise held in the city of Konya, the tasks of the next phase were successfully completed.
According to the information provided to Medianews.az by the Ministry of Defense, in the exercise, Su-25 and F-16 aircraft, as well as T-70 helicopters, carried out tactical tasks for gaining air superiority and ensuring air support for the search and rescue of crew members of a downed aircraft in a conditional enemy territory.
During the operation, air support was carried out with high coordination; risks in the exercise area were minimized, and the effectiveness of rescue operations was increased. Pilots of the Azerbaijani Air Force (AF) performed the given tasks professionally and showed significant results in achieving the exercise’s objectives.
It should be noted that in the international search and rescue exercise, our country is represented by AF pilots, specialists from parachute-landing and search-rescue services, aviation controllers, as well as technical personnel and aviation equipment.
