Fuel prices in Germany have reached a record high.

Fuel prices in Germany have sharply increased, reaching a record level.

According to information released by the German Automobile Club (ADAC), shortly before the implementation of a fuel concession, the price of diesel fuel increased by an average of 17.7 cents per liter nationwide. The price of gasoline with the "E10" label rose by 15.4 cents.

One of the main reasons for the price increase is reported to be the rise in oil prices on the world markets. In recent days, the price of oil has reached its highest level since 2022. However, no significant change was recorded in the average prices across the country the day before.

It should be noted that the Bundestag has decided to temporarily reduce the energy tax on gasoline and diesel in order to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices. According to the decision, from May 1st until the end of June, the tax on fuel will be reduced by 17 cents per liter./AZERTAC
