Why have US-Israel and Iran attacks decreased? Report

The US-Israel military operation has entered a new phase characterized by a decrease in the intensity of airstrikes for both sides due to the depletion of priority targets and the destruction of the majority of Iran’s strike potential.

This was reported in a report by analysts Mark Kanzian and Chris Park from the US Center for Strategic and International Studies.

After analyzing the air campaign, which has now entered its fourth week, the analysts concluded that the conflict has moved into a more stable phase, with both sides adjusting their strategies, reducing intensity, but maintaining the ability to strike.

According to the experts, the first days of the operation were the most intense. Within the first 24 hours, the US launched strikes on more than a thousand targets as part of the "Powerful Fury" operation, while Israeli aircraft struck over 750 targets. However, the pace then started to slow down. The authors noted that this was due to the necessity to conserve expensive long-range missiles, especially the "Tomahawk" and JASSM missiles, each costing approximately 3.5 million dollars./axar.az
