As a result of a fire in the dormitory of a boarding school for girls located in Kenya's Rift Valley region, 16 students lost their lives.
Kenya's Minister of Education, Julius Migos, told journalists that the fire, whose cause has not yet been determined, started at night at the "Otomishi" girls' high school in the town of Gilgil, located in the western part of the country, and lasted for more than two hours.
