The investigation into the fire that resulted in the death of 3 people and injuries to 25 has been completed.
Medianews.az reports that information has been provided by the Press Service of the Prosecutor General's Office regarding this matter.
On November 21 of last year, in a multi-story residential building located on Mirəli Seyidov Street in the Yasamal district of the capital city, a fire occurred which resulted in 3 deaths and 25 injuries. The preliminary investigation into the criminal case initiated at the Criminalistics and Information Technologies Department of the Prosecutor General's Office concerning this fire has been completed.
The preliminary investigation established grounded suspicions that Bahruz Pashayev, born in 1986, the director of the "Loft Dent" dental clinic located on the 1st and basement floors of the residential building, violated fire safety regulations imposed on him, causing the death of 3 persons, injuries to 25, as well as material damage to the apartments in the building, resulting in severe consequences.
Based on the collected evidence, a final charge has been announced against Bahruz Pashayev under Article 225.3 of the Criminal Code (violation of fire safety regulations by a person obliged to comply with these rules, causing the death of two or more persons by negligence).
Upon the investigator's motion and the prosecutor's submission overseeing the preliminary investigation, a court decision was made to select arrest as a preventive measure against Bahruz Pashayev.
The preliminary investigation on the criminal case has been completed and the case has been forwarded to the Baku Court for Serious Crimes for trial.
