Perfumes intended for children cause concern among experts

Companies are increasingly producing perfumes intended for babies and young children.

AZERTAC reports that the "Zara" chain has introduced the "Le Petit Lullaby" perfume. According to the company’s claim, it is inspired by the world of small children.

According to the Swedish Asthma and Allergy Association, the number of cosmetic products intended for young children has significantly increased. Experts sharply criticize this. The association’s spokesperson Lizelotte Floren states that the use of perfumes for children is unfounded and can be dangerous. "The skin and its protective barrier can only withstand a certain load. Small, growing bodies are more sensitive, and in this case, the risk of developing an allergy to one of the substances in the perfume is higher for very young children," L. Floren explains.

According to her, baby skin is very sensitive, and contact allergy resulting from the impact of aromatic substances lasts a lifetime. Additionally, it is difficult to determine the allergy, and afterward, the person is forced to carefully check the ingredients of various products, from shampoos to creams and cosmetics.

"Inditex," the owner of "Zara," emphasizes that health and safety are priorities, and children's products undergo strict quality control. The company also claims that there is a demand for light perfumes for child hygiene in many countries worldwide. Nevertheless, the release of such products continues to cause concern among specialists.
