Scientists have determined that fog is not just composed of water droplets, but also a special environment where millions of bacteria live.
Medianews.az reports that according to research, some bacteria help clean the atmosphere by absorbing harmful substances in the air.
Researchers from Arizona State University have stated that there can be approximately 10 million bacteria in one drop of fog water.
Scientists note that bacteria not only absorb pollutants but also neutralize them to protect their living environment. As a result, this process improves air quality for people as well.
The researchers also warned that water collected from fog should not be considered sterile. In their opinion, such water must be checked and purified before use.
