England's "Manchester City" club will top FIFA's club payments ranking for the World Cup for the third consecutive time.
The total fund for the D&C-2026 "Club Benefits Programme" (CBP) has reached a record amount of 355 million dollars. Of this amount, 250 million dollars will be distributed among clubs with players participating in the final tournament, 100 million dollars will be shared for participation in the qualifying stage matches, and the remaining 5 million dollars will be directed towards the development of club football.
According to calculations by "The Athletic," "Manchester City" will earn approximately 4.4 million dollars thanks to six players who advanced to the final stage of the tournament (final and third-place match) — Frenchman Rayan Cherki, English players Mark Guehi, Niko O’Reilly, John Stones, and James Trafford, as well as Spaniard Rodri.
The second place will be taken by "Barcelona" (3.9 million dollars) — 16 players from the Catalan team participated in various stages of the tournament. The top five also include "Bayern" (3.4 million dollars), "Arsenal" (3.3 million dollars), and PSG (3.2 million dollars).
Overall, "The Athletic" has recorded 451 clubs that will receive payments under the CBP program. (oxu.az)
