Today, an appeal hearing will be held regarding the sentence against Ilduz Hajiyeva, a blogger known as "Arzum 9999," who is accused of causing a traffic accident resulting in death in the Khazar district of the capital.
Medianews.az, citing olay.az, reports that the consideration of the complaint has been assigned to Judge Elnur Nuriyev at the Baku Court of Appeal.
The initial hearing of the court has been scheduled.
Recall that according to the verdict of the Khazar District Court, Ilduz Hajiyeva was sentenced to 5 years and 2 months in prison and deprived of the right to drive a vehicle for 2 years and 6 months. She was arrested in the courtroom.

While performing a turning maneuver with her car, Ilduz Hajiyeva cut in front of a car coming from behind, causing that driver to lose control and cause an accident. As a result of the accident, one person died and another was seriously injured.
A non-custodial preventive measure was selected for Ilduz Hajiyeva, and a final charge was brought against her under Articles 263.2 (violation of traffic rules or operation of a vehicle resulting in death) and 264 (fleeing the scene of a road traffic accident) of the Criminal Code.
