Ashiq Namig Farhadoghlu has attracted attention with his recent statement.
Publika.az reports that the artist responded to singer Tacir Shahmalioglu's claim of "I am the king in art, there is no one above me."
The Ashiq emphasized that he does not agree with these thoughts, stating that everyone has their own place in art and comparisons are not appropriate.
In his statement, Ashiq Namig Farhadoghlu especially mentioned Ashiq Adalet Nasibov's name and said:
"He was not 'untouchable' for him. There are many singers like Tacir among us. But there is no one like Ashiq Adalet Nasibov, he is unique. We also have artists like Manaf, Eflatun, and others who sing beautifully in sufficient numbers. This is the reality."
The artist's remarks were met with interest on social networks and sparked discussions. While a group of users expressed support for Ashiq Namig's position, others noted that Tacir Shahmalioglu's place in art is undeniable.
