In Azerbaijan, to obtain a driver's license, a citizen must be at least 18 years old, undergo training at a driving school, pass an exam, and present a health certificate.
According to Medianews.az, under the current rules, individuals who meet all the requirements receive a driver's license.
But how accurate and feasible is it to issue this license indefinitely?
According to transport expert Eldəniz Cəfərov in a statement to Baku TV, the main criterion in determining the driving right is not age, but the person's health condition.
He stated that drivers over the age of 70 must undergo a medical examination every two years and submit a health certificate.
Expert Elməddin Muradlı also believes that the driving right should be assessed based on health indicators rather than age. In his opinion, the rights of individuals suitable for driving based on their vision, psychological, and physical condition should not be restricted.
