The ongoing extreme heat in France has caused an increase in death cases.
Medianews.az reports that after a meeting on the issue, the country's Prime Minister Sebastian Lecornu stated that since June 18, 40 people have drowned and lost their lives while entering water bodies to cool off.
The Prime Minister called on citizens to act more cautiously amid the high temperatures.
Due to the heat wave continuing for about 10 days, the danger level in 54 departments of France has been raised to the highest – red level.
In many cities, the air temperature has exceeded 40 degrees. Due to the heat, lessons in hundreds of schools have been temporarily suspended.//BAKU.WS
