The interest of Russian women in traveling alone is increasing. This applies to both international trips and domestic tours. Over the past year, the number of such trips has increased by 47% compared to the previous year.
Medianews.az reports that the statistics were provided by the "Onlinetours" platform. This platform specializes in online booking of package tours in Russia.
It is reported that the most chosen destinations for solo travel by Russian women are Turkey and Egypt. Over the past year, 33% of the bookings made by Russian women traveling alone were to Turkey, and 26% to Egypt. Russia itself completes the top three with 13%. These three destinations (Turkey, Egypt, Russia) accounted for 72% of all bookings.
On average, the price of a tour to Turkey was 154.4 thousand rubles, to Egypt 140.2 thousand rubles. Women traveling within Russia spent on average 51.5 thousand rubles.
The most expensive destination for Russian women traveling alone is Australia. A tour to this country costs on average 1.05 million rubles.
The most affordable destinations are Belarus (48.9 thousand rubles), Armenia (60.9 thousand rubles), and Azerbaijan (71.2 thousand rubles).
According to the analysis by the "Onlinetours" platform, Russian women traveling alone are showing increasing interest in CIS countries. Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan are gaining popularity as more affordable alternatives to long-distance trips.
