Eight people died and one person went missing as a result of a storm and strong winds that occurred on Monday evening in the eastern part of Hubei province in central China.

It was stated that storms accompanied by strong winds were recorded in the cities of Xuanshi, Xuangan, Ezhou, and Xianning in the country. In two towns, wind speeds reached 13 on the scale, and tornadoes were recorded in some residential areas.
According to local authorities, rescue operations are currently ongoing in the disaster area.
In addition, a landslide occurred in Gansu province, located in the northwest region of the country. It was reported that 16 people were trapped under the rubble as a result of the incident. Currently, rescuers, medical workers, and law enforcement officers are active at the scene.
