New contract negotiations between Argentine forward Mauro Icardi and "Galatasaray" have not yet been concluded.
According to Medianews.az, the current contract, which expires on June 30, and the 33-year-old player who is currently a free agent, has been offered a new 1+1 year contract by the Istanbul representative with an annual salary of 5 million euros. However, Mauro Icardi did not agree to this offer.
It is reported that the experienced forward is asking the club for a 2-year contract and a salary of 7 million euros per season.
To resolve the issue, a meeting between the player's agent Elio Pinon and "Galatasaray" president Dursun Özbek is planned in the coming days. It is noted that both parties will try to reach a common ground during this meeting.
Currently, negotiations are ongoing, and whether Mauro Icardi will continue his career at "Galatasaray" will be determined after the upcoming meeting.//Milli.Az
