In the city of Petrozavodsk in the Republic of Karelia, Russia, a man opened fire from the window of a residential building at people passing by on the street. As a result of the incident, two people were injured.

According to the information, the 38-year-old man fired from the fourth floor of a residential building at people moving on the street. As a result, two men aged 34 were injured. The injured were hospitalized.

The person who committed the incident was detained by law enforcement officers. An investigation is underway regarding the fact, and the details of the incident have not yet been disclosed.

It should be noted that on June 20, a 19-year-old young man attacked visitors of a shopping center in Krasnodar city, Russia. He entered a room in the multifunctional center located in the building and stabbed several people, then threw an improvised firecracker into the children's entertainment center. The detained person stated during the investigation that the attack was not ordered by anyone, and that he "was simply tired of living."
