Today, by the decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev, Teymur Mehdiyev, the son of Ramiz Mehdiyev, has been relieved from the position of Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations.
Medianews.az reports that Teymur Mehdiyev is a Lieutenant General. He was born on June 25, 1975. He graduated from the law faculty of Baku State University. He holds a PhD in law.
He worked at the Ministry of National Security from 1997 to 1999, at the Ministry of Internal Affairs from 1999 to 2001, and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2001 to 2004.
From 2004 to 2006, he was Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism; from 2006 to 2011, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism; and from 2011 to 2014, First Deputy Head of the State Migration Service.
Since May 5, 2014, he was the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations.
