Price increase accelerates: What risks are there for the population?

Recently, the continuous increase in prices and, concurrently, the rise in the tax burden, combined with the decrease in the real incomes of the population, negatively affect social welfare. This trend makes it difficult to balance household budgets and causes problems in managing daily expenses. What role can the state's economic policy play in alleviating this situation, and what steps can be taken to maintain the balance between income and expenses?

In a statement to Medianews.az on the topic, economist-expert Eyyub Kerimli said that the price increase seriously affects the family budget, leading to higher expenses.

According to him, some families face difficulties in meeting their daily needs:

“Certain increases have been observed in 2026: both the average monthly salary and the indexing of pensions amounted to approximately 9.9 percent. Although these increases help to partially balance the pressure caused by rising prices, they do not completely eliminate the problem.”

E. Kerimli added that various programs are implemented within the framework of the state's social policy:

“Self-employment programs, unemployment benefits, and social assistance for low-income families play an important supportive role in this regard. Such programs serve as support for unemployed persons and low-income families.

Inflation has a global character and in some cases exceeds income growth. Therefore, the state regularly takes measures to prevent price increases and reduce their rate. Serious measures must be implemented to prevent inflation so that the price increase does not proceed rapidly. Various mechanisms are available for this.”
