The Panama-flagged cargo ship "Victress" sailing in the Black Sea was attacked by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
Medianews.az reports with reference to "Haberler" that as a result of the attack, a strong fire broke out on the ship and the flames quickly engulfed most of the ship.
According to initial information, the crew members on the ship were citizens of Egypt, Turkey, and India.
Evacuation of the crew began after the incident. According to initial information, 9 crew members have been rescued. It is reported that Turkish citizens are among those rescued.
At the same time, although it has been claimed that there are casualties as a result of the attack, no official statement has been made on this matter yet.
It is noted that the fire caused serious damage to the ship, investigations into the incident are ongoing, and searches for crew members reported missing are being conducted.
