“SOCAR Petroleum” JSC released information today regarding the explosion that occurred in Gazakh.
Medianews.az reports that the information states that today, in the area of Khanlyglar village in Gazakh district, a fire accompanied by an explosion occurred at the No. 7 oil depot owned by the JSC.
It was noted that the explosion occurred during the refueling process of a fuel-carrying vehicle.
“Immediately after the fire incident, the State Emergency Service (FHN) was informed. The forces of the Gazakh District Fire Protection Department of the State Fire Protection Service of the FHN were promptly involved at the scene. Thanks to the necessary and urgent measures implemented by the firefighters, the spread of the fire to the surroundings was prevented, and it was quickly contained and completely extinguished.
As a result of the incident, Shamil Zabit oghlu, who was working as a loader-filler at the oil depot, lost his life.
