Warning sent to ships in the Caspian Sea

The Ship Traffic Management Center of the State Maritime and Port Agency (DDLA) has issued a warning to ships regarding windy weather conditions.

According to Medianews.az, the warning states that the north-west and north winds observed in the Caspian Sea area from the evening of May 29 will continue until the daytime hours of May 30:

"During these days, the north-west and north winds are expected to strengthen to 18-23 m/s, occasionally reaching 25-30 m/s, and up to 33 m/s in the open sea. The wave height is projected to be 2.0-3.0 m, and subsequently expected to reach 3.5-5.5 m."
